Babcock Galleries’ high standards of integrity, quality and connoisseurship have played an integral role in the creation of major private and public collections. Dr. John P. Driscoll, the sixth owner of Babcock Galleries, has authored and co-authored books and exhibition catalogues on Charles Sheeler, John F. Kensett, Edwin Dickinson, Hudson River School painting, and American landscape painting. The Gallery has recently produced books and catalogues on Marsden Hartley, Charles Webster Hawthorne, Edwin Dickinson, Don Nice, Alan Gussow, and American Shino pottery.
